June 15 View of the Point
Another cloudy day with mist and possibly rain to come. Yes it did come. As I watched through this window above the Square I noticed the full green of downtown and the lakeshore. Seems like it has always been summer and the trees were never bare. It may be easy for humans to miss the urgency of the growing season, especially if we choose not to or simply don't have to grow anything to sustain ourselves. Meanwhile, trees are sending out as many twigs and laying on as many layers of new wood as they can, birds are faithfully raising their chicks, adult insects are awake again and moving fast to lay eggs before their life cycles end, etc., etc.
